Microsoft Ignite is the top conference to learn about new innovations, emerging technologies, and the latest in cloud computing. Whether you missed the opportunity to attend or want to review the key trends that emerged from the conference, Atmosera has you covered with our highlights from Microsoft Ignite 2019.
This year’s Microsoft Ignite took place in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center. The industry-leading event was a five-day conference with more than 26,000 attendees. Over 300 exhibitors and sponsors shared their innovative technologies and services. Microsoft offered nearly 2000 educational sessions and workshops on the most in-demand topics and skills, including Infrastructure, Security, Productivity, Data, and Deployment & Management.
Azure Technologies
Keynotes at Microsoft Ignite transported attendees to the future of enterprise technology and innovation. The Vision Keynote, presented by none other than Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella himself, kicked off the conference with a view into emerging Microsoft technologies – including using glass as a storage device! Nadella also demonstrated the newest features of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Arc, Azure Quantum, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams.
Of particular note is Azure Arc, a fascinating new way of managing on-premise resources through the Azure portal. Arc can help streamline a management stack to allow a unified management paradigm across a deployed infrastructure – no matter where it is physically. It brings Azure services to any infrastructure, allowing organizations with on-prem environments to leverage some of the key benefits of Azure cloud like scalability and automation.
Other notable presentations include the Application Development and Envisioning Tomorrow keynotes. The Application Development keynote was a hands-on guide for building applications in Azure using Java, PHP, Node.js, .NET, or Python. Microsoft AI’s senior leaders led the Envisioning Tomorrow keynote and offered a glimpse into the future, built by Microsoft’s innovations.
Microsoft Learning & Certifications
In addition to educational presentations, Microsoft Ignite featured a learning and testing center. The center offered certification tests in various areas, where professionals and engineers who work in Azure could become Microsoft certified, like Atmosera’s cloud experts.
This year marks the first Microsoft Ignite conference sponsored by Atmosera with our new status as an Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP), Microsoft’s highest level of credentials awarded to its most reliable cloud partners.
Part of being an Azure Expert MSP, as well as Atmosera’s culture, includes striving for constant improvement and expertise in new Azure technologies.
