First let me introduce myself, my name is Ray and I recently joined Atmosera as Vice President of Information Security (read the press release). In my role at Atmosera I am overseeing the evolution of our managed services targeting security and compliance needs.
I am in the process of relocating with my family from the Bay Area and bring practical knowledge having worked for companies including Proofpoint, Cisco Systems, and eBay. I have extensive real world experience in security risk management, security incident response, monitoring, and cyber threat. I wanted to take a few minutes to bring you up to speed on the ransomware attack and our readiness to deal with this threat. I also would like to highlight some of the enhancements and new offerings we made recently available to customers:
The Aftermath of the Recent Ransomware Attack
On Friday, May 12, 2017, a series of broad attacks began that spread the latest version of the WanaCry/WanaCryt0r ransomware. These attacks reportedly impacted systems of public and private organizations worldwide. Atmosera’s Operations team patched and remediated the vulnerability that was used in this attack for all customers with OS Managed Services when Microsoft last released patches. Atmosera strongly encourages all customers to deploy the Microsoft security update, as well as all other critical and high security updates, with urgency to all systems not managed by Atmosera.
For customer who are not using Atmosera’s OS Management, I hope you make it a priority to implement the patches recommended by Microsoft and secure your environments.

Cloudflare Partnership for DDoS Protection
We just announced a partnership with a leading web performance and security provider, Cloudflare. They have a proven track record of successfully mitigating some of the largest Distributed-Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks ever recorded and their Content Delivery Network (CDN). Cloudflare’s DDoS protection and Web Application Firewall (WAF) products are now available to Atmosera customers and offer expanded managed security services options.
We known many healthcare companies are looking beyond HIPAA/HITECH and want to follow a more robust security framework. This is what HITRUST offers and we already have customers deployed in environments which will allow them to attain compliance under this standard.
Secure Delete for Azure Storage
Last month we rolled out the first secure delete application for Azure storage which is available on the Azure Marketplace. The application was developed in response to the growing need to deliver better assurances that data is permanently deleted from cloud deployments.

New Billing System - Update
We made some progress with the deployment of our new billing capabilities based on Zuora. Our goal is to improve the automation, presentation, accuracy and completeness of our invoicing and is the foundation for many more service enhancements. In June, we will started the phased rollout and transition existing customer to the new bill format.
