Challenge

Medadept’s growing needs required an unexpected level of support

Before Medadept contracted with Atmosera, a long-term service partner just launching its cloud services recruited Medadept as a cloud client. Medadept’s subscription was managed by the service partner, but it became clear that Medadept’s growing needs required an unexpected level of support from the service partner. In late 2019, Medadept and the service partner agreed to part ways, and Medadept began to look for a new cloud management partner.

Atmosera managed Medadept’s Azure subscription from its inception in 2020. However, as Medadept’s needs have grown and changed over the last 5 years, Atmosera has provided more and more services to support Medadept.

Atmosera has become a trusted partner for Medadept, and Medadept highly values its business relationship with Atmosera.

Solution

Atmosera delivered a secure, audit-ready environment to ensure continuity

Recognizing the growing complexity and compliance demands, Medadept subscribed to Atmosera’s Managed Azure Services. This shift represented more than just operational support—it was a strategic investment in long-term resilience, security, and scalability.

Atmosera took full responsibility for the ongoing management of Medadept’s Azure environment, integrating their systems into Atmosera’s Compliant Environment framework, which is based on the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework. Services included:

  • 24x7x52 monitoring, alerting, and incident response through Atmosera’s Network Operations Center (NOC) and Security Operations Center (SOC)
  • Proactive patching, configuration management, and performance optimization
  • Role-based access controls and multifactor authentication enforcement
  • Azure resource governance and cost optimization

 

In 2025, Medadept further expanded its partnership with Atmosera by reintroducing two mission-critical service areas: Disaster Recovery and Managed Governance. This added a robust layer of resiliency and compliance support across their Azure workloads.

Atmosera implemented Azure Site Recovery (ASR) to replicate Medadept’s virtual machines. A custom Disaster Recovery Playbook was developed, documenting RTO/RPO objectives, failover/failback processes, and recovery prioritization. Atmosera also resumed Managed Governance services, which included vulnerability scanning, compliance posture assessments, security incident reporting, and advanced reporting aligned with regulatory standards.

Together, these services provided a hardened, enterprise-ready environment that addressed both operational continuity and audit readiness.

A modest Azure start grew into a secure, managed cloud foundation powering MedAdept’s healthcare innovation

With Atmosera managing the full Azure environment, Medadept gained the confidence and capability to scale its services while maintaining strict compliance standards. Key outcomes include:

  • Operational Efficiency: Medadept offloaded day-to-day infrastructure management, allowing internal IT staff to focus on business-enabling initiatives rather than routine maintenance.
  • Business Continuity: Azure Site Recovery, combined with Atmosera’s DR Playbook and semi-annual failover testing, ensures Medadept is prepared for unplanned outages or disasters—with less than 15 minutes RTO and minimal data loss.
  • Governance & Compliance: Atmosera’s advanced Managed Governance services deliver continuous oversight of Medadept’s security posture, along with expert support for compliance assessments, vulnerability remediation, and risk mitigation.
  • Proactive Security: Atmosera’s 24x7x52 monitoring and managed detection and response (MDR) services provide real-time threat visibility and protection against zero-day vulnerabilities, insider threats, and external attacks.

 

What began as a modest implementation hosted in Azure has grown into a fully managed, secure, and resilient cloud foundation—empowering Medadept to meet the evolving needs of their healthcare customers.
