Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 10 Launch is turning into quite a party, literally. On July 29th Microsoft is planning to celebrate the 5 million users who took part in the Windows Insider program by hosting special events in 13 cities including Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing, New Delhi, Dubai, Nairobi, Berlin, Johannesburg, Mardrid, London, Sao Paolo, and New York City.
Microsoft is also working with retailers to make sure that consumers can get their questions answered about Windows 10.
We’ve also worked closely with retailers to introduce programs to help people easily upgrade, including Best Buy, Bic Camera, Croma, Currys/PC World, Elkjøp, Jarrir, Incredible Connection, Media Markt, Staples, Wal-Mart, Yamada, Yodobashi and many more leading retailers from around the world. Tech Bench services will provide support for those upgrading to Windows 10, data migration services to help people move files from old PCs to new PCs, and experience stations where people can try out Windows 10. — Windows Blog
In addition to the global party, Microsoft wants to highlight how Windows 10 empowers people to give back to their community by sponsoring a #UpgradeYourWorld hashtag campaign and providing financial support of local charities. They’ll even be giving all Microsoft employees a day off to volunteer with their favorite charities.
